Adventures! Explore! Fun! *
SMBA Adventure programs are geared towards athletes who want to explore new trails and terrain outside of their regular riding areas. Whether it is a multi-day adventure trip, or full season adventure package, these programs build character and create life-long memories! Athletes learn navigation and camping skills, practice teamwork, and dial in their mountain bike skills on terrain that may be new or different and more challenging than what they normally ride. Every ride is a SMBA Adventure!
Kick off the mountain bike season with a Spring Break trip to the desert! Athletes will get to explore Moab’s world-renowned trails, experience team camaraderie and make new friends, enjoy amazing desert views, and camp under the stars in the Sandflats Recreation Area.

Our multi-session Adventure Program (Epic Team) builds on SMBA’s tradition of exploring some of the West’s best mountain biking destinations. With sights set on adventure, this program offers junior athletes an opportunity to consistently focus on longer-distance, epic, backcountry mountain biking. Our emphasis is geared towards building skills necessary for self-reliant, adventure-oriented mountain biking – we ride for the joy of riding, overcoming challenging terrain, and exploring where we have never been.
Through this program athletes build skills and abilities through a progression of increasingly challenging rides and have the opportunity to experience a variety of adventure riding formats, including point-to-point distance rides, home-base van-supported camping trips.
